I added after market Hood vents and I used blue Loctite on the mounting bolts. It turns out the top of the bolts cannot be reached once installed and now I cannot remove the hood vents. The nuts and bolts just spin because I cannot grasp the tops. I know there are some solvents that will dissolve the blue locktite but they also dissolve paint so I’m not that motivated to do that over my perfect Mustang.

Lesson of the day be careful where you use Loctite!

...blue Loctite will usually release when heated. Try a hairdryer from underneath the hood to heat the fastener, place and hold something sticky, such as a small ball of tape, on the top of the bolt to hold from turning while ratcheting the under side nut. It's what I'd try, but YMMV.

I will try heat, I cant see the tops of the bolts, they are completely hidden. the original install allowed me to turn the bolt some what tight down on the lockwasher, then the locktite did its job and the locktite is stronger than the bolt head friction....

The silver heads seen in the picture are not the mounting bolts...

Maybe 1/8 inch, not enough to grab with pliers. Might be able to slot them fora screwdriver when I have a ton of time and patience and warmth.....
