My Jeep does this about a minute or 2 after turning the engine off. On that vehicle, it's the A/C recirculate door or dual-zone AC blend doors going through a self-check. Sounds like a fart.

My 2016 GT and Dad's 2012 F350 make weird "sighing" noises when the AC cycles. My 2013 F150 doesn't, nor did our 2014 Focus. Is it possible that's what you're hearing?
That's the refrigerant boiling and absorbing heat while it changes from a liquid to a gas in the evaporator behind the dash in case you were wondering.
