Why...it's classified as a "Sports Car" that's why it's more expensive. Doesn't matter what the cost of the vehicle is. You wife's car can be 10 times more expensive...doesn't matter. Insurance companies are all about stats & liabilities. Who's going to be more likely to cause a crash: your wife driving a QX60 Mini-Short School Bus that's built like a urban assault tank or a Mustang, in which Insurance companies see $$ in their eye due to the high speed wrecks and collateral damage your going to cause when you lose it around corner at 150+mph and take out 1/2 a shopping center. Suck up the xtra dough...& roll with. Once mash that right pedal to floor boards...you'll be like, what insurance??

Ah, reminds me of Lewis' (Burt Reynold's) line about insurance while driving like a bat out of hell on a dirt road through the woods in Deliverance. John Voight, holding on for dear life :eyebulge: says something like: "Lewis, I hope you have good insurance!". Lewis/Burt's reply...

Just to add my 2 cents worth. I had a big decrease in my Pony ins. when I mentioned that I drive a corp. car for work insured by the corp. I work for in NY. I never considered that would have such a positive impact for me.
