Does the EB PP comes pre-wired for a bumper with reverse sensors?

Changing from a '15 EB basic model but with rear sensors to a '16 EB PP without, is the only regret I have; I don't rely on the rear camera, besides looking to see if there is a kid/person behind and on my way I back up, without looking again...but the rear sensors, are, in my opinion a MUST have on this car, by the way that the car is designed and I think you can save yourself from a lot of headaches with it. I am considering start looking for a used one on ebay on whatever, and ever if I need to have it repainted to match my car, I would. What I dont want to deal, is doing a bunch of rewiring and all, because I don't trust myself to do it and truthfully I would be quite afraid of taking to some unknown guy to do it and end up messing up something. Thanks for the info, if anyone on this forum knows the answer.

You can add an aftermarket kit pretty easily. You just tag into the backup light wire. I have done a number of them. About a 2 hour job.

Stupid question, why do you need the sensors and a camera?

Not a statement, just curious.

Read above. They are very different things. And I don't find the backup camera reliable as the sensors.

I agree with you. I prefer to have both (like I did on my Edge Limited), but if I could only have one, I would prefer the sensors.

+1 I have the beeping system for our Flex. I like it a lot better than the camera, which you need to watch instead of looking out the windows.

To add the sensors don't you have to drill the bumper cover to install the sensors? IMO, those sensors being visible on the bumper cover just mess up the clean lines...

Too bad there isn't a way to install them where they can't be seen, but would still effectively work properly,

IMO that even the OEM that comes with the new Mustangs are visible as well, they just blend well because the bumper is painted. I will have to investigate the exactly height and space in between then, so I can have a professional mechanic do the magic and I will deal with any visual aspects later on. Right now, all I care is to have back the back up sensors. I will say again, because some people simple dont understand the difference in between the sensors and camera. The sensors are a MUST for the fact of how the car was designed and it is hard to make sure you aint backing up too far and etc. The rear view camera in my opinion is just great to make sure, that once you start slow backing up, you can look to make sure that there is not a child or whatever right behind. I do not rely on the back up camera to go backwards at all. I don't like all the different and confusing lines and I learned since I was 8 y/o how to back up and I rely on my knowledge.

I'm the opposite - the reverse sensors in both our Fords beep every-single-time we leave our garage, making them something I pretty much ignore. I think there have been 2 instances where it beeped and it meant something was actually heading toward me, but I was already looking at the backup screen (parked between 2 trucks, so it was the only way to see anyhow).

That was the sensors doing their job. The sensors were picking up the side edges of your garage door opening and warning something was close to the side-rear area of your car. This is an area the camera doesn't provide protection for. Hence, why I prefer both. I am still happy to have the camera compared to having nothing.

Interesting, since my F150 never did that from the same spot, but both the Mustang and SHO do. Either way, the sensors are, for me, an annoyance and at this point, completely ignored. The camera field-of-view does the job I need and the sensors have never warned me of something I didn't already see in the camera. Just my experience, over the course of 5 years and 3 Ford vehicles.
