Does the 401A audio system in a 2015 premium play flac files?

Does anyone know if the 401A audio system in a 2015 premium car will play flac files? I'm looking at preordering the new Metallica album, and I noticed that you can preorder digital lossless audio in flac format from their store. I don't want to do that if I can't listen to it in the car. Thanks in advance for the help!

I don't know that answer for sure but I'm betting on No for the flac files but you can always convert the format.

I have a '16 and YES it plays FLAC's. I found the answer in the manual. I could look it up for you in an online '15 manual but....teach a man to fish blah blah blah

401A does not add more sound file types, it adds more speakers, memory driver seat, blind spot mirror, so whatever the 400A can recognize, thats the same on 401A.

what makes a difference in sound file types is MFT vs Sync 3
