There's always that little S right below the D to take car of that Lol.. I wouldn't do a tune just for that, seems a bit extreme.

I would however like a shorter rear end.. maybe some 3.73's.. but it seems to cost more than it's worth to do the swap, would be better off investing in an IC and E30 tune..
I don't even use S, I just hit the down paddle, but still annoying when it starts to lug. Not positive, but I read that the 3.15 housing is different than the other gears and you can't swap ring and pinion from them. I'd love 3.55's.

I don't understand why you keep commenting with this. I have addressed your concern 3 times now and tried to educate you so you understand why this is.
because I dont know why its not an analog progression towards 12:1 as boost increases. im only seeing 12:1 at WOT.

if 17lbs of boost is safer at 12:1 than 14.2:1, then why doesnt the car adjust its AFR based on boost level instead of waiting for a specific pedal position?

why does it need me to go full throttle if i only need 2/3 throttle in a situation? performance driving is not a playstation button press on/off.

cant it see that 'oh shit im making 17lbs of boost this driver is aggressive time to give it more fuel'. i understand that this is the logic of the stock tune, and afaik you tend to fix these problems when you tune the car (ie unsafe boost levels at low rpm, etc) - my problem is why did the car come off the assembly line like this.

this is just basic logic.

Sport mode is too far in the other direction IMO, a slight tweak in the tune is a better fix.

The factory sacrificed logic for economy and emissions, no doubt. But OEMs are under a lot of pressure that consumers never hear about, I don't envy them at all.
