Do you think it’s worth getting wheel locks for PP wheels?

I know S550 wheels aren’t nearly as stolen as Honda, but is it worth it to get actual wheel locks? Does anybody have any recommendations ?

Gorilla locking lugs.

Also, depends on your location. I haven’t really seen or heard of S550 owners on here reporting thefts of stock rims, of any style… and that’s going back to when this site started.

Insurance company and local auto body guy said the criminals will then just bust off the wheel studs and then cost you more to get it fixed

it may however discourage some

as they say it will keep the honest people honest

Yes. I have Gorilla Locks on mine. Can you still steal the wheels? Sure, it just takes longer. They're just a deterrent like any lock.

If I were you I'd look into getting 20 spline lugnuts. With just one lock on each wheel, if a thief really wants your wheels, all it takes is hammering on a 12 point socket over the locking lugnut. Only takes 4. At least with 20, it's that much harder.
I have West Coast Wheels Spline lugnuts in black. Only cost me $75 CAD

If it were parked outside your house or in a apartment parking lot, I'd get locking lug nuts. All a thief needs is a deep socket to pound onto the lock and bingo, it's off. Reason I know this, is because I lost the key to a set of Mcgard wheel locks and I got a one size smaller deep socket than one that fit the lock. Hammered it on and got all of the locks off. Remember, you are just trying to make it inconvenient for the average guy to steal them, If they want them bad enough, they will get them.

I have a hatred for wheel locks. Will never have them on my car. Matter of fact I bought a brand new 2019 Toyota 86 TRD SE in October 2018. There were wheel locks installed at a cost of I think $65. Told my salesman and finance guy if the $65 doesn't come off the total they can keep the car. Also told them they can have the damn locks too and to also replace them with 4 regular ones. They hemmed and hawed but agreed to it
