Family hauler, for now
For me I am a Ford guy and love the GT350R, but I don't love much more then MSRP. With a $30K ADM on the R model, I can almost get a new Viper T/A, new CTS-V, and can certainly purchase a C7 Z06 for that price. I'm not complaining, it just is what it is.

You guys think the ADM will calm down or get worse for the 2017 MY?

Thanks

It's down. I paid a 4K ADM for an early car and can get a 2017 for $1k ADM from the same dealer.

It's gonna get lower because demand is getting lower.
The so called "limited production" hype is going away.

Was that for an R model?
No, I didn't inquire because I didn't even want to know. A regular 350 is my high end of my budget. An R would stretch it, and if I knew I could get it reasonably....I would stretch it.

It will die down. Last I checked their were about 50 on EBay unsold at dealers. All in possession, all with big ADM's. Once the 17 hits and 16's come onto the used market it will stabilize just like every other SVT/Ford Performance product as I've owned several in the past.

The R is a different story

R model will still probably command a decent ADM since it's limited production. Looking like under 1000 units (probably closer to 750) for 2016, and I would guess around the same # of cars for 2017

I don't think Ebay is any good measure for the market position on GT350's. There are still a lot of cars migrating between dealers, which doesn't represent the level of ordering a car from a dealer. And I don't see ADM's changing much for the R's through 2017, there will continue to be more demand than supply with around only 500 units made and maybe 8-10% of the Ford dealers able to get one.

Just spoke with a sales guy in the Sacramento area and he quoted me a regular GT350 with track package for $108k. It's crazy and is beyond ridiculous.

There are three GT350's in my 25 mile radius with markups. $5000 in Zelienople and $10,000 in New Castle. Another 350 is in the way...

Right now, it's the Dealership owners that want to keep the car itself and put high ADM's on top. No matter how special the Mustang is, it never continued into the 2nd year. 2018 might start this all over again BUT, the GT500 will be around.

thePill is working on a '17 with zero mark up. However, I intend to put a good chunk down.

I expect it might get a little easier to find a lower ADM on GT350's by this time next year, but not much before. There is still enough pent up demand to keep them selling well through then.

From what I've seen so far, and I've been asking around to dealers in over a dozen states, dealers are very aware that these cars are going for big ADMs and see no reason not to cash in. Last year some dealerships might not have known exactly how popular these cars were going to be, so some made fair deals on their allocations. Now they know they have a coveted item and are pricing cars accordingly. Just this morning I talked to a dealer that already had a waiting list of over 25 names for 2017 R models alone.

I have only heard of one dealer who's willing to sell at MSRP, but I'm not going to mention them until they call me about 2017 allocations. I'm high up on their list, and I'm not going to do anything to mess up my chance to upgrade from my 2016 GT350 to a 2017 R model.

I don't see ADMs going away on R models.

Hopefully they do on the regular GT350, but much of that might depend on whether there is a 2018 model. If dealers are still only getting one or two cars for the 2017 year, they will still not have much of an incentive to reduce the price.

I would expect the ADM to be a lot lower. However, after seeing KBB value for my car, with 2000 miles, valued at a $73,000 trade-in? Not so sure what to think.

Speaking of KBB... there is no 2015 GT350 to use for appraisal so mine may be worthless. :D
