There's lots of discussions around remote start being illegal in Australia.
At best it seems to be a very grey area, so it's probably easier for car makers to just steer clear of it.

Then everyone comes along and says "my blah has remote start" or "blah sells a product..." and on it goes.

In our climate, yeah, sometimes it might be nice to turn on the aircon before getting in on a 40 degree day, but, open the door, start the car, stand under a tree for a minute.

Remote start is legal.. Check out the new Holden VF .And it's made in Australia, it is illegal is Europe so we don't get it on mustang

Yes my VF has remote start, base model VF onwards. Great for hot days getting the ac working.

Don't know how it is grey if a car that is locally devolved and built can have it.. Pretty sure they would have had to guarantee it was more than grey to include it. Could understand what you are saying if you were referring to some cars available here from overseas manufacturers.

Also I take it you don't live anywhere where it is regularly hot? Remote start would be damn nice in the NT, trust me. But anyways yes it's dissapointing that it is another feature we miss out on, but of all them, this is provable the one I am least concerned about.

I read somewhere that remote start is a core integration with Sync 3 - could it be that the only reason we don't have it cause we still get Sync 2?

Nothing to do with sync - remote start is available on all of US Mustangs
