Alright both of you guys are going to have to elaborate on that one.

They are correct. See the sticker in this picture? It indicates the EU ped-pro legislated hood. The brackets have a special tether inside so after the hood blows it doesn't completely come off.

as best as i can tell they are the same design as the redline struts, so they should do, but cant garentee it.
they may require minor modifications like the redline ones

guys redline struts definitely worked, the holes on the hood side needed elongating by a 2 mm at a 45 degree angle to allow the to rotate in the place correctly but once that was done they fit perfectly

just noticed this... where do they keep the battery on the EU models?

EU LHD models same place as US.
EU RHD models at the opposite side.

Resurrecting this as I have some redlines to fit, what needs changing? and I take it we can't just follow the instructions? Any alignment issues after fitment?

My driver's side bracket, as mentioned by SamH up there^, needed the hole extending a couple of mm at the 4 o'clock position to allow it to sit where it needed to. Aside from that they go straight on and the clip for the washer hose lines up fine too.

I'll be at the Newlands meet next week so if you're there you can take a look.

Fitted with only a minor fiddle about trying to bolt the bracket to the wing. Getting the red bolt in the correct place whilst holding the bracket and trying to tighten it was fiddly.

Yup they're much better than the prop. Instructions have been updated and mention flipping the template for rhd.
Only thing is I think the passenger side of bonnet is sitting lower now

Finally got around to fitting mine last week. Had to drill out like others. Used a touch-up stick to tidy up my distinctly amateurish drill job and to re-paint the thread on the screws.

I think my passenger side appears to be sitting slightly higher now. However, I don't see how the strut would cause this and it's probably just a case of it always being like that, but only now noticing it.
