Ecoboost are the opposite of the GTs in that the dirty side is the driver's side not the passenger's side. Plus being boosted they tend to produce more blowby when under boost as compared to a non boosted motor.
So, if you are using a single type of catch can like a JLT or Mishi it goes on the driver's side of the engine compartment, a UPR dual catch can does go on the passenger's side on an ecoboost though.
Single or dual are both beneficial as long as you place a 100 PSI check valve in the intake side hose since the PCV valve is not really good at preventing blowby from being forced past it and into the intake when under boost, the UPR dual can comes with 2 check valves as part of the kit.
I got my JLT used and added the UPR 100 PSI check valve in the intake hose all for less than the price of a new JLT. I empty it every 1000/1500 miles and only get about a tablespoon full of oil out of it but that is oil that is not diluting the fuel charge and reducing the octane of the fuel.
