Looks to me like I do as the “key services delete” isn’t checked. Would be cool as I bought the car with only one key.

Also why when I bought the ESP 08/28/2025 did it start 03/28/2025?

Thanks.

Opening my agreement, the start date was the date I took receipt of the vehicle, about one year before purchasing the ESP.

A reference from Section 3 of my contract:

"Warranty Start Date, for the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, means the date on which the Vehicle was placed into original service."

Your current vehicle, I forget when you bought it. Was it March of 2025?

Something like this, it can cut both ways. On the one hand, you're covered for anything developing prior which meets the terms of the contract. On the other, you're paying for that (five month's of premium before signing), in-case you file a claim early on. The keys being one example.

I'm not aware of any vesting periods for any of the services.

A reference from Section 5:

5. KEY SERVICES OPTION:

5.1.A. If You purchased the Key Services option and Your eligible
vehicle keys and/or key fobs are lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed,
You must return to Your selling dealer or other franchise dealer for
replacement. The maximum benefit for Key Services will not exceed
$500 per year (including keys and fobs, labor charges,
programming, registration, and taxes).

5.2.B. If You are a resident of CT, MA, or PA, You will receive the
Roadside Assistance Coverage and the key service described in this
Section 6A as a motor club membership benefit at no additional
charge to You. The motor club membership is provided for the
benefit of Us by Cross Country Motor Club, Inc. in these States. You
may access Your membership brochure at
http://www.crosscountrymotorclub.com/fordlincolnkey-terms.

If you would like a copy mailed to you, contact Ford and Lincoln
Roadside at 800-241-3673 and request a membership brochure. To
receive Key Services coverage, You must return to Your selling dealer

Hey Skye,

So in my case, I purchased the ESP on the same day I bought the car which was 08/28/2025.

In the case of selling dealer or franchise dealer, in my case, I bought the Ford ESP through the Ford Protect website directly, so not from a dealer at all.

Hi Alec , I purchased mine after my 3-36 ran out .
Signature and Start dates are the same , the day I purchased the Premium. ESP . Maybe call and see why it started 5 months earlier. My options aren't checked , and I need a new key fobe. The 2 nd picture from my Premium Care ESP pamphlet.

So I did some research and according to Granger Ford, it works like this:

This makes more sense now, as this aligns with the data on my Carfax essentially when the car was with its previous owner.

I guess if anything it worked in my favor that the date is 03/28/2025 and not 06/15/2022 as I’d lose years of coverage I gained from this discrepancy.

Very true , it seams to be to the new owner to let the original 3/36 expire before purchasing a Ford ESP . When I purchased my 23 Sprinter Van new, I bought a MB extended warranty and it starts after the 3-36 expires August 26 . I guess there all a bit different. TC
