FYI...just picked my car up from the dealer.

This was the part installed in the vehicle from the factory: BR3E-8575-BB 180 Degrees

This is the replacement part that Ford sent: BR3E-8575-D 190 Degrees

I was told the "BB" is the designation for a part if it was installed during production. The "D" at the end of the part number designates a replacement part not installed during actual vehicle production.

So... apparently BR3E-8575-D is the replacement Ford part you are looking for if you have a stuck thermostat.

Happened to me after my first event.

I swapped it out myself, 30 min job with a mityvac

Where's the best place to pull out the coolant before changing the thermostat? Not used to working on these new engines...:headbonk:

The replacement stat that I got from my dealership has the 8575-D on the box, but when you look at the new part, it has the original 8575-BB stamped on it. It also says 180 degrees. I think the new number is just the "stock" number for the parts counters....
