I have not seen anyone with the none transparent headlight vinyl yet.
I got some 3M 1080 black glossy vinyl from my previous project, thought might as well give it a try to make a DIY eyelid and see how it looks. I didn't expect it to come out well since it's hand cut, but I was able to hide all the cuts in the gap between light and the sheet metal. It ended up pretty good and looks professional.
anchor room sells the precut version if you don't want to deal with DIY. Unlike Anchor room I just cut a straight line instead of a curve on the edge of the projector, since there is no way I can make a curve line perfect with hand.
