Awesome write up! I will take delivery of my car in August and I will attempt to ceramic coat myself a week or two after delivery.

I want to do it asap so the paint is easier to coat.

Thats the best way to do it. Tell the dealer not to prep the paint, they usually do more damage than good.

An oldtimer used to tell me that the best black paint looks like a dead pond. I'd say you've achieved that!

I've actually been using reload mixed with ECH2O, thats the magic elixir. Not that your car can get any shinier but here is some info on it:
https://www.autogeekonline.net/foru...arpro-ech2o-reload-ratio-what-do-you-use.html

Good tip about the hose too.
@SVT-DADDY so now I’m researching and going this route.... Essence Plus...works perfectly with the CQuartz UK, same family!! This will make my Black look like a really “dead pond” !! ....then 50/50 Reload and ECO2 mixture the next day!! Auto geek gave it a great writ up!! Ever tried this stuff?? Mines on the way!!

@Voo Doo I was looking at Essence plus but I wasn't too sure where it would fit in.

Do you have a link to the write up? Can't seem to find it.

@Voo Doo I send you an email....

Are you going to apply this stuff by hand or use the wheel?

I’ll use my DA ...with the gloss sponge Corey recommended....then I have to wet sand an area on the hood that I was using my MF cloth on...got too aggressive and it must have had some contaminate on the cloth!! AAAAARRGGHHHH !! anywho...3000 grit on Wed, CQuartz UK that area..2ftx 3ft...I’ll leave that area alone and do it another time with the Essence Plus. From Corey..”

Hi Ric! Hmmm, I would say Essence PLUS is the BEST thing to do - Use very carefully and only with the CarPro Gloss pads. very gently. AND leave it on the car for an hour before buffing off :) Then you can even top with a mixture of 50% Reload and 50% Ech2o whenever you like after the es PLUS has cured a few days or more. Need very little to do the car… Less than an ounce should do it “

This is great. I just recently bought a new bullitt that, to my naked eye, seems nearly perfect. Thanks for the tips!
