Planning on hitting the drag strip again Friday night and this time with some M/T's. I'm curious about your experience on how disconnecting the "traction control" connector at the airbox effects the track apps...and more specifically, Line Lock. I pulled the connector this morning and my track apps were unavailable. Has that been your experience?

Once I plugged the connector back up, they were available. This seems to make sense. However, I still cant access Line Lock, which I think may be a second issue. The tire pressure light is on because I have the race stars installed. So I can only assume that the Line Lock cant be used if the TPMS light is on??

Just curious because I was hoping to pull the TC connector to make sure no nannies were active at the track but if I plan on using the line lock, it looks like I cant do that and may be a moot point anyway if the TPMS kicks the lock also. Any input is appreciated.

The line lock needs the abs pump to function so ya it's gone if you pull the plug. Line lock will work without the tpms. I run track tires as well and the light comes on about 20 miles from my house on the way to the track. 18's may be different though on the tpms but i wouldn't think so.

I have found that my line lock is not available when I am not on flat ground. If there is even a small slope, line lock is not available to me

Good luck with pulling the plug, I can't even get it to work with it plugged in on my 18.

I wasn't sure what the connector actually "disconnected" but I was afraid that was what it was and I was pretty sure that was gonna kill the line lock....thank you for the input!

This line lock can be rather frustrating. I have no idea right now why that it will not activate. I was working until I unplugged the connector but even after re-connecting it, it will not work...I wonder how many protocols have to be met for it to work as there have been times where it seems there is no reason for it not to function but it wont. I'm sure something like the seat is a 1/4" to far forward was preventing it. (sarcasm implied).

The sequence to use it is rather annoying and has to be done perfectly. Does it just not work, or not available?

To the tpms issue...Its the only error on the screen that I guessed would be causing line lock to be unavailable. Strangely enough, when I put the race stars on the back, it eventually gave the error message and then the next day the tire pressure screen showed tire pressures on all 4 corners. Now, after ceramic coating the wheels I took off the rear, I put them on the front last night and the front no longer shows tire pressure but the rear with the race stars do!!! I know these things have sensors that I now assume must be calibrated when they are moved but I have no idea how the rear is reading pressure with the race stars on.

Its not available. Your exactly right, the sequence is annoying. I sure wish Ford would have made it a bit simpler to use. Awesome idea but certainly wonky in execution.

When your car is in the garage near the stock tires leaned against the wall it will read them for pressure upon startup:crackup:. They work on radio frequency proximity. Then when you leave after certain time/miles it can't find them anymore.

 No kidding! I didn't think they would have that kind of reach. I had one in the house doing the coating. That makes perfect sense. So is there a way to re-learn a sensor to a different corner?
