Disable interior dome light when doors are open

Hello everyone I am new to this forum and hope to find/share great tips and tricks.

The one thing that made me discover this forum is when I was researching how to turn off the lights when doors are open at night time.

I want to be discreet at night and especially with the LED upgrade I did it feels like I am the center of attention at night when the doors are open lol Doesn't help my car is the Need for Green color too. Anyways I was hoping some of you guys that hate this too have some tips or solutions to share.

I've been in many cars in my life and this is the first time that a car won't allow to turn off lights when doors are open. It is not very convenient lol

I just stumbled on this thread, this person installed a switch in the dome light housing to turn on and off the lights. This is the best solution I found so far but any other solutions are welcome.

Use FORScan and enable Police Mode.

I just looked that up on youtube and from what I understand it locks the transmission when the key is not inside the car. I assume that only works for Auto trans cars but they didn't mention anything about the dome light. Can you please explain how it works because I would rather do this then install a switch and mess with wires haha

Yeah I found more info on it. It basically kills all lights/sounds when coming in or out of car. That includes the puddle lights with the pony which I kind of don't want to turn off lol. Here is a thread about the police dark mode:

Yeah, apparently I need a special code because I have a SC.

I bought an led kit from the vendor on here and replaced all my interior lights with green LED's. Matches up well and is dimmer. I then used the MyColor settings on the car, or whatever it is called, and changed all of that to green too.

It makes for a good reaction anytime someone sees me open my doors for the first time at night.

I figured go all-in on green and black. Tailight covers, changed the 5.0 badges to black, black GT350 replica wheels lol. Its looking pretty good, and traditionally I hate green, but might as well "own it".

Right I am not the green fan neither but with the black trims and accents it does really stand out as an aggressive sports car. I get compliments and people laugh at it all the time hahah
