Ok, I admit to being mechanically challenged. Watching the Diode Dynamics install video on their 2015 Mustang, they showed 3 fasteners: bottom of wheel well, middle and kind of 12 o'clock high.
My 2016 ECB has a fastener at the bottom, but none in the middle and several at the top. It doesn't appear if I remove the bottom one that I will be able to move it enough to get at removing the OEM lights and putting in the DD LED lights. Help please. Nick

Not sure what you need, take off as many as you need to to get in there....

I installed mine from the top, front of the engine bay, I have long thin arms.

All 3 were right there for me on my 2016. I would say you need to remove all 3, as it is still a little tough.

Diode Dynamics lights installed. My neighbor heard me crying in my garage because I couldn't get the LED light package open;). 10 minutes- lights installed. Looks fantastic!!
I was mistaken, my '16 has the three fasteners like the '15's. I am too embarrassed to tell you where I was looking in the wheel well.
Truly I am not a gear head, but will tell you as a counselor to folks suffering from substance abuse issues, I have a pretty good tool kit and have helped a lot of folks over the years. Nick

We've all been there, no worries. You should've seen me trying to get the stock reverse light bulb out of its socket, ah the memories!

Trust me I know what you mean about not being DIY capable...I am worthless, I broke the red wire off the 4th brake light kit and just gave up, using the bulb for a brighter reverse light, but wasn't what I paid for....I get so mad at myself...I bought a Steeda CAI on Black Friday and I'm still staring at it because I'm afraid I will render my car useless trying to install it....smh

That's what the forum and google is for, just ask questions :)

I had to ask to make sure I was pulling the oil drain plug the first time I was under a car :p

A little update. Night driving- just wow! Definitely lights up the road, especially directly in front. Looks great. Only downside might be that the LED's are brighter than the DRL's and headlights. More LED light mods?:)
The map lights, I went for the brighter-94 lumens-solid. Initially I had purchased the brightest back up light- 500+lumens- it makes night look like day when backing up.
Thanks Diode Dynamics. Nick
