I've had the car for almost 2 weeks now, and I was finally able to install my Diode Dynamics LED Reverse Lamp. After speaking with Nick C over Facebook and then on the phone, he was able to set me up with their XP80 (510 lumen) model. Instillation was beyond easy, took 20 seconds once I reviewed the video again. Saying the bulb is simply brighter is an understatement. I watched the videos and saw Paul say over and over how it the LED bulbs give it a cleaner and more modern look. Well I wish I had taken this more seriously. I will definitely be replacing all of my interior, trunk and most likely front corner lights within the month.

Diode Dynamics customer service was amazing, shipping was fast, quality is great, and the product just works. Backing in to my parking spot at home, and it was night and day difference.

Thanks Nick! :headbang::headbang::headbang:

I took some before and after shots, I kept the exposure the same (f/8 @ 13 seconds, ISO 100 if anyone is interested) between both photos so you can see just how laughable to before and after is. It's almost as if there is no reverse lamp before the install. Okay so I wasn't great on my masking

Def the interior lights make a huge difference.

I think Im going with the mid-level reverse the HP11. The XP80 looks blindingly bright and the HP11 is quite a bit brighter than stock from the comparison photos on DD's site. The revere camera works surprisingly well in the dim/dark on the stock light already too.

I ordered the mid level reverse light. I Can't justify paying $50 for a bulb!

Same I can't justify that much for 1 bulb either. I think the mid-level will be plenty bright. It looks double the brightness of the stock per DDs website photos.

Doesn't the back-up camera have night-vision though? When I back up out of the driveway in the pitch dark, the camera shows everything quite clearly....cool product. Not sure it's necessary.

I think it just has very good low light capture, night vision would make the colors wonky. Dont think its necessary either though. Just changes the color, which is why I didn't go spend $50 on the highest bulb.

While the reverse camera does a good job at showing what's behind you, this just makes it that much easier to see things on the screen. If you're concerned about the price, I'd give Nick a shout.

My DD map lights and backup light came in today. I installed the maps lights in a snap and they look awesome literally night and day between oem and LEDs!

I wasn't able to get to the reverse light because it was dark and the ground was wet :thumbdown:

I'll get to it tomorrow!

I did the trunk/map/reverse lights today -- With the D.D. videos all were a snap.

Will tackle the glove box & vanity lights tomorrow.

I got the highest bulb not to make seeing things easier on the screen, I never had a problem with that, but so other people easily see me while reversing. Way too many close calls where I'm reversing out of a parking spot and everyone *everyone* else thinks they have the right of way to keep flying, even when I'm 3/4 of the way out of the spot. Did I mention everyone?

It was pretty easy once I stopped disconnecting the wire and actually twisted it lol.
