Diode Dynamics Email - More problems?

So I am on my 4th set of switchbacks. I'm not here to bash Diode Dynamics and I really hope this thread doesnt go that direction, they are a great company and have taken care of me. They are having bad luck with the switchbacks though...

Did anyone else get an email this morning about the logic chip not working correctly after a few days. Anyone having this issue?

After finally getting my 4th set and they are both working, I was kind of bummed to hear there are more issues...

I also got the email, i just got mine in the mail yesterday but haven't installed them yet. Makes me a little nervous to put them in. I'm sure if we have issues they will do their best to solve the problem.

After finally getting my 4th set and they are both working, I was kind of bummed to hear there are more issues...

I've got my pair sitting on my workbench. The damn connectors on the bottom got MANGLED when I put them in the first time for whatever reason. I put them in the socket one time, they didn't work, took them out, and the metal pins look like they got ran over by a truck. So I'm at a loss currently what to do.

WTF, just saw the email too......I just got them in the mail and installed them yesterday. So far they work fine but I dont have the patience to keep taking these things in and out plus I have a bad back so laying down on the ground over and over is not doable. ill be asking for a refund if something starts acting up.

Pretty low traffic over there and this thread has gotten good responses...


So after talking with them more, it appears the white doesn't illuminate. Mine are working fine after a week or so.

I had issues with the switchbacks... Instead of all the frustrations of going through set after set I decided to just roll with stock orange. At least it works 100% of the time. I do have all the interior lighting kit, trunk light and back up light. 0 issues...

Indeed, we have found yet another potential issue with these bulbs. As I said in the email posted above, it is very frustrating, as it is nearly impossible to test for.

If you are experiencing any trouble at all, no matter when you bought your bulbs, please call or email us and we will work with you to find a solution- whether that's a replacement set, or a refund.

We appreciate everyone's patience. Like I said in the email, we have messed up. Badly. We'll do whatever we can to make it right with anyone experiencing any problems.

Thanks Paul.

There may be problems with the bulbs and they had to go through several revisions but I know they have addressed it every time and provided the BEST customer service imaginable.

I'm sure some people are getting fed up with the issues and just want to be done with it. That is why I like in the correspondence with them they stated I could get a refund, no questions asked... Almost 8 months after ordering...

I received the email today. What type of issues are you seeing? Are they going to cause any damage to my car?

Absolutely no damage to vehicle possible.

The logic chip just "hangs up" (like a computer crashing). Sometimes after blinking, white does not come on, or amber stays on at a dim level. Sometimes white and amber both blink. Very strange and sporadic issues. It's just in the function of the bulb though, it does not present any possible damage or make them overheat or anything.

Please reply to the email or give us a call if you're seeing any problems at all.
