I was wondering if anyone had compiled differences between the PP EB and the GT non-PP(both base)?

I know you get the same brakes, but is anything else coming with the GT that is coming in the EB PP? Thanks

a wonderful V8. I'm sure there are more, but I'm far too lazy to read the order guide again for you. I'd look at that :)

Its hard to discern exactly because the GT would feature some items set up specifically for the GT anyway. But this is how i would break it down

EB performance pack
gauge pack oil pressure boost
- obviously not on the base GT

unique chassis tuning
upsized rear sway bar (fastback only)
heavy duty front springs (Fastback only)
- due to the heavier engine in front i would assume the GT chassis tuning and springs are somewhat similar to the ecoboost PP if not the same. but this is probably the biggest question mark..... is the base GT suspension equivalent to the ecoboost PP?

larger radiator
-V8 would need a larger or different radiator anyway

larger rotors with 4 piston calipers
-we know these are the same

19x9 gloss aluminum wheels
summer tires
-obv you can get 18s with A/S on base GT

unique calib on epas abs & ESC
-unknown but probably is PP related

3.55
-gt option
spoiler delete
-gt option

GT also gets you Line Lock, if that's important to you. If you are ordering an EB PP, I'm guessing you are not a burnout kind of guy.

The biggest difference between the packages to me is that the EB gets some in-house limited slip diff, and the GT gets the best all-around street car LSD made today: the Torsen.

Also, I don't know why the EB can't come with 3.73s like the GT.

Actually Id rather have a longer ratio Torsen. The GT has plenty of torque to get off the line, the 3.73 just means more smoke that could be more go. Also hurts your freeway mileage and probably hurts top speed.

Agreed -- that's why I wish the GT came with 3.55s and the EB came with 3.73s. Just seems reversed to me.

.....aaaaaaannnnndddd I just read the title of this thread more closely. Oops. Well, at least now you know about the difference between the GT and EB PPs :)

The PP is not designed for drag racing. It is obviously a corner carving package, and as such I'm sure that Ford's gear selection was very calculated to offer the best performance for that application. If you want a car for drag racing, a model with the PP is probably not your best option.

Also, I'm not sure if you've ever driven a Coyote, but they do not really have a lot of torque down low. Though hopefully that has been improved with the '15 a bit. That's one of the biggest complaints I have with my '12. I'm excited about the prospect of improved low end torque plus 3.73 gears. IMO, should make the car more fun for daily driving. If traction is a big problem, I'll just throw some bigger/stickier tires at it.

Oops, I should have specified performance upgrade differences only, like shocks, suspension, strut bars, etc. and I'd expect the GT to have a beefier rear sway than the eco base, wonder if it is the same as the eco pp

Basically if I ever got the eco I would get PP but I wonder how close suspension/spring wise the GT base is to an eco PP. Likely getting a base GT though.
