I have the standard limited slip diff on my 2016 Mustang. Service manual calls for 75w85 Diff fluid along with a tiny bottle of friction modifier. I've serviced my differential before with the standard motorcraft fluid but I was wondering if there are different options for brands as far as rear end fluid goes. I want to try Amsoil or Valvoline but they don't make it in 75w-85 Viscosity and I'm not sure the ratio of friction modifier to add either.

Whats your guys setup like for diff services?

The trak lok diff clutches are pretty picky with modifier unless they're worn out. I use redline75w85 with 2 ounces xl-3. You can use any 75w90 as well if you want.

To add to this, IMO its better to start with a fluid that has zero limited slip modifier and just add the 3.28 ounces of XL-3 to ensure the proper ratio.

Redline makes some good stuff; they are worth considering. I've always like how they post their test and performance data. Have been using for 14 years in my Tacoma's trans, xfer case, diffs. 140,000 miles. Zero issues. Plan on using in Skye when time to change.
