Im interested in buying new black Premium GT PP 401A, and I'm just interested to see what some of you have paid for it and wether or not Truecar is the best option to use. Any help would be appreciated. Might just wait for 2016 as it's basically around the corner and I'm not in a major rush

Truecar is a nice tool to use. It does not help you with your trade-in though.

I used True Car. Not sure it really made a difference compared to just negotiating myself. A guy I know who owns a dealership said depending on the model, if the dealer is NOT signed up with True Car, you might get a larger discount because there is a cost to the dealership in general, to be working with True Car

Out here in California all I can manage to find is 41k sticker

My dealer hid mine from all other customers when it came in as it was a GTPP for 35,420 sticker and all ecoboost on lot starting over 40K. They didn't want anyone seeing window sticker. Since then they have ordered 70% base and they sell them within days and still have a Vin 02996 ecoboost on the lot with a window sticker of 44K:eyebulge:.

I care about infotainment
I have used Truecar during this process of looking and basically it comes out to no better than X-plan b/c with Truecar dealers can stick tack on expensive fees, which they can't with X-plan.

For a GT Premium w/PP + 401A + Nav. I haven't been able to find an OTD price below $41k (and that's with all the incentives you can think of - $500 customer cash, $750 competitive cash, and $750 "random" customer cash).

Best pricing I've found is from a Ford volume dealer in Texas. Pre/GT/ PP/401A/man/Nav, sticker is 42,700, their web price is 38,500. These guys usually have about 124-150 Mustangs. A base GT/PP/Man/Recaro is 33,500 web price.
I'm sure there are other volumne dealers in other states..

I like to get a Truecar quote, then take it to a non-participating dealer and get them to beat the price for me to buy from them. Usually they do.

Not sure how an EB could be priced 44k, or even over 40k for that matter. EB with every imaginable option here would be about 38k, unless roush, then those start at about 40k. glad i don't live where you do.

All I got from using TrueCar was about 10 calls a day from a hand full of dealerships calling to sell me a focus or a car I wasn't interested in.
I went online, found the specific car I wanted and contacted the dealerships myself.

I used true car. Base manual with PP. Several dealers completed for my business. I was happy with the results.

I put in a fake number, but the real email. When they sent me the email I unsubscribed. I only had one dealership that was persistent. I wrote them an email and said I already bought something and they stopped.
