There are a couple of Mustang verts around that have the right options and we are really down to pricing.

It looks like dealers like to stay around invoice while TrueCar is showing below invoice for pricing.

Has anyone been able to take the TrueCar estimate to a dealer and get the price TrueCar listed or is the TrueCar price more of a bogus lead in price?

yes. Or sign up for Mustang club of america for 50 bucks and get X plan pricing. That's what I did and at the time (Oct) it was cheaper than Truecar.

In the age of instant gratification, do you have to wait to get the X Plain pricing for the MCA? I thought I saw somewhere you needed to be a member for 60 days?

Check Koons Ford in Baltimore, MD. Cheaper than X Plan. I bought mine from there and drove it back to SC. Worth the $230 one way flight.

You just need a minimum 60 day membership, but the MCA/EAA/others are all 1 year for $40-50.

Hell, my dealer didn't even ask for my membership card.

As for Truecar, I have experience on a Jeep with Truecar. Earlier this year I bought a loaded Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Hard rock that had an MSRP of about $47.5k and I got it via TrueCar for under $40.5K. No hassles, in and out of the dealership in about 1 hour. Every other dealership we walked into was acting like there were no discounts on the specialty versions like the Hard Rock. :headbonk:

Yes! Not all dealers accept it though. The closest Ford dealership said they'd try to match it...not even close and they offered s**t for trade in. It was worth the extra hour drive. Good luck!

I agree. I never have had a good experience with Truecar
