Hey guys,

I had a pre-order on a UK mustang about 6 months ago but I cancelled it and got my deposit back as it looked like they weren't offering the auto gearbox here in the UK.

Of course, since that changed I've been meaning to get myself back on the order list.

But I wanted to see if all you guys on the waiting list are paying the list price?

A few Ford dealers are advertising the car for less than the RRP on their websites but once you call them up they all say their websites are wrong and the price has been locked in by Ford across all UK dealerships.

I'm told there is zero negotiation space, so I wanted to see if any of you guys have got a better deal/price or if what I'm being told by the sales guys is true?

Btw, if you did get a deal at less than the RRP, please PM me your dealership details and the sales guys name ;) lol

Took my good ladies fiesta in for a service last week, and by chance got taking to the branch manager re: my mustang order. I asked the list price question out of curiosity, and was told UK cars are all essentially sold out. Therefore FORD OTR price will be take it or leave it, so i don't think anyone will get a discount unless they know where the bodies buried!!:ninja:

Yeah that's what I've been hearing. Every UK dealer I contacted that's advertising the car cheaper calls me back and tells me their website is wrong

So looks like I can't negotiate on price, so I'll instead have to negotiate them fitting all my Ford Racing parts instead.

Gotta get some kinda deal :)

Wierd reason to cancel; I never heard of a possibility that they would not offer the auto. It wason the first price list.

As has been said, it is unlikely you'll get much of a deal -probably nothing. It's simply supply and demand. If you order now, you are probably looking at summer 2016 for delivery. Wby should they do a deal if they don't need to?

And there has been one round of price increases already....

And there is talk of another rise before Christmas.

I'm glad I got in early and am getting it at the first announced price and not even paying the ÂŁ10 extra that the VED went up by in April :D

My original preorder was down way before the price list came out. Before the FA final preorder day even.

Looks like I've found a dealership that's willing to fit all my Ford Racing parts for free, so should be back on the preorder list soon :ford:

Yep, list. Don't believe there'll be any room for negotiation, something i'm particularly bad at.

I'm a little surprised a dealer would even agree to fit aftermarket parts tbh.

I spoke to for direct about a discount. I'm fortunate enough to qualify for a VIP scheme with some manufacturers, which involves a hefty discount on new vehicles to buy or lease. Ford offered me a discount, it was nowhere near what another manufacturer had offered, but a discount all the same.

However, when I told them which car I was interested in, I was told no discount on that model. I'm still gonna push the dealer for some over mats or something though. Perhaps even a full tank of petrol!

Turns out you can't have one at all now. See Ford website. :ford:
