Ugly John tried their American Thunder kit and reported substantial drone. I wouldn't suggest this kit if you are sensitive to drone as this kit will almost certainly have those issues as well.

Substantial drone? Substantial???? I frigging DREAMED of only having substantial drone!

I had mind-numbing, ear-ringing, head-pounding, interior-rattling, can't-hear-the-damn-stereo kind of drone!:frusty::headbonk:

Even though the helmholz resonators I put on eliminated the drone at highway speeds of 75+, I still had substantial drone in the 65-70mph range. My Flowmasters now sit in a corner of my shed, alone and completely unloved.

The really sad part is that the exhaust sound was incredible - exactly what I wanted.

I would not recommend a Flowmaster for a V6 Mustang to anybody, ever. I wouldn't even want my ex-wife to buy them, and I especially hate that money grubbing whore.

The drone was so incredibly bad, that I simply cannot imagine them ever testing these mufflers on a V6. It's like they may have tried them on an ecoboost and called it a day. Maybe. If their design goal was instead to see how much money they could make by turning a lovely new car into an undriveable POS, mission accomplished.

But to answer one of OP's questions, yes they were very easy to install. Pretty easy to uninstall too!!!

My mom had the American Thunder Axleback's on her 14' and they sounded fine but they were chambered and not almost straight through. I have a muffler delete on my EB and it's perfect for me not too loud unless you're on it and no drone at all. From what I have heard on YouTube the muffler delete sounds good on the V6 as well. A very inexpensive mod so, if you don't like it you are only out maybe 150 if you do tips as well.

Sure. Not sure about shipping them. I imagine boxing them up and shipping would be expensive. My folks live in Chesapeake, so I could maybe take a long weekend to visit them and bring them with me if you want to meet me there. Not sure if I'd cram them in the Stang or drive my G6.... I know what I'd RATHER drive....but I don't want to scuff up the nice car getting these in. I'd have to look at it.

Remember these have the helmholz resonator octopi things welded on, so they're not mint, but they work fine (except for drone) and the exhaust sound is fricking awesome. I can get pics this weekend.

I was going to wait for John to chime in on this - I would really suggest staying away from them unless you're about the interior noise. I can attest to their chambered setup as my mother has one on her Vert. It's just enough noise to get you noticed but not something that's going to drive you up the wall on a 3 hour (or a 30 minute) drive

So what is your suggestion for the v6? Looking for something that's got some more aggressive tone that doesn't need to be full throttle to get the benefits.

"Hearing" you loud and clear on this. My suggestion would be the Flowmaster Force II - it's got enough under load that it will turn heads but if you're looking for something louder/more aggressive then you're going to want the Roush. Their mufflers are very different - chambered vs a cylindrical style (Roush) that's going to be more raspy, metallic where as the flowmaster will be a little more full bodied. Hope this helps but my best suggestion would be to listen to some clips
On YouTube of them both on 11-14's - camera phones/GoPros really won't do them justice especially the flowmaster and Theyll sound quiet. The Roush will shoot so much sound that they'll distort the microphone.

Flowmaster Force II is my pick

Be careful if you try to get the Force II - when I was looking around before I bought, I saw some sites were advertising the American Thunder exhaust. Other sites were advertising the Force II exhaust. Problem was - they were both the same part number: FM-817681.

Here's where I bought:
http://www.stage3motorsports.com/817681-2015-Mustang-V6-Flowmaster-Force-II-Axle-Back-Kit.html

Here is American Muscle advertising it as a Force II:
http://www.americanmuscle.com/flowmaster-forceii-axleback-2015v6eco.html

Here's another:
http://www.lethalperformance.com/fl...oboost-force-ii-axle-back-exhaust-system.html

Look at the part number on each site - they are ALL 817681!!!

Ergo, they are all American Thunder!!!

I should have taken a pic of the box mine came in, but it was definitely labeled as American Thunder.

I just checked the Flowmaster site, and they only list the American Thunder exhaust for our car.

(I still giggle every time I read their description: "...maintaining a mild sound level inside ...")

I had a Flowmaster American Thunder on my last V6 (single muffler) which sounded awesome, little drone, but rusted pretty badly after one winter.

We just installed a FlowMaster American Thunder kit on our supercharged 2015 V6 with shorty headers and the stock suitcase premuffler. I think it sounds pretty good, its pretty deep for a V6 and the drone/interior resonance is very minimal.
pleaaaase post a video....

Well i have the outlaw series in my v6 and personally they are loud and once u slightly touch the gas it will roar, idle and cruising are not annoying and you can easily listen to music and have a convo while driving.
