My first impressions are quite positive. I'll have to take an outside video but I'll include the cabin video I took yesterday. It's VERY LOUD. You do get some drone obviously (1800rpm is the only one that's noticible to me). I really do like the note. For the $110 I paid I'm very happy

did you do a resonator delete too? I paid 40 bucks for a muffler delete the day after I got my car and never had any drone. It wasnt too loud it....to me it should sound like that from the factory. Then I added an x pipe to the muffler delete......that was LOUD and had some drone around 1800. I eventually got a flowmaster outlaw axle back and love it.

I'm glad you found a set up you like!

I kept the resonator and cats. Just a muffler delete. I'm wondering if the Chilly weather is making it a bit more noticeable. It's a really not that bad though and I agree, stock was way too quiet and I strongly prefer the sound of the pipes now :ford:

I loved the straight pipes..... Im sure my neighbors and folks around town did. By the time I paid someone to bend pipe and put some 4" tips on It wouldnt have been much more for the axle back......so I just went ahead and got one.

I've been considering a muffler delete and keeping the stock resonator, with some turn downs under the car. But there's no hangers there to support it, and I think it'd be extremely loud with long tubes.

I did the same mod to mine. Factory cats and resonator, muffler delete. My muffler shop was able to use the factory tips and hangars when they installed it. There is drone on highway around 1800-2100 rpm 6th gear, but if you go a bit faster, it'll go away. Under load in that RPM range it will drone also. It is loud when you really get on it, but normal driving and staying under 4000 rpm, it's a nice tone. It's surprisingly quiet when just cruising outside the drone zone. I had a 15' STi with factory exhaust and I could be heard coming on my street, but with the Mustang, you don't know I'm coming.

I keep debating if I want to do this. We had a 5.0 F150 and did a muffler delete on it and it sounded great, it was very loud and mean.

I went ahead and did a muffler delete today, leaving the resonator. Holy cow it sounds mean, definitely loud, cost me $120 and they reused the tips. Shop did a nice job as the tips are nice and centered. Gotta get some more drive time but so far I'm very happy, sounds like a mean muscle car now.
