Diagnostic module?

So, I’ve been meaning to ask you folks something. When I bought my Mustang in January I found something in the center glove box. I’m wondering do all owners get this or did the dealer leave it in there by accident. I googled it and it seems to be some sort of diagnostic module that plugs into the car.
