How long does it take to prepare a car for collection?

24 hours absolute best case, if you're very lucky! Better start hassling/sweet talking/bribing the dealership

You told the dealer to not wash it then? would even go as far as telling them to remove NOTHING from the body work. Leave all the transport stuff for your detailer to remove

Finally...

I've checked today and my car has moved from "Awaiting Shipment" to "In Transit". :cheers:

Never did get a response from Ford US or Ford UK to recent emails.

The car is showing as shipped on the 1st September but there's no details of a ship assignment yet. Just really happy it appears to be moving!

I have been told the same. Car should be delivered to the dealership towards the end of the week.

Unfortunately it's not going to the detailers for the ceramic until the first week of October.

I cannot recall a time when I have been so keen to hand over £40k!

Tell them to stop pushing it down to shut it, that's what causes it. Drop it from a foot up.
