I can never understand depreciation.
I mean, I understand it, but I don't see why people really care. People constantly going "WHATS IT GOING TO BE WORTH!?" - meanwhile they can drop £1500 on a Laptop and not give two titties about the fact it'll be worth £300 in two months. :D

Frankly, the question of depreciation didn't enter my mind when deciding to purchase a Mustang.

This is the car you buy with your heart, not with your head.

for anyone seriously worried about depreciation, cost of maintenance, cost of fuel, MPG.... all that spreadsheet stuff..... you're not getting the point!

:eyebulge:
And they should've probably gotten a second-hand 320D

Thats a bit unfair, they would still have depreciation to worry about, but then they also have to wonder when the engine is going to snap its cam chain, :D

Yes.

If you ever waver about buying a car because of the depreciation. Don't buy it.

I bought a 3 yr old Chrysler 300C petrol. Did 120,000 miles and loved every one of them. Depreciation was £8k down to £2k = 75%, oh no! Or 5p per mile; oh yes!!

I actually sold my Evo to that crowd, ending up getting about £1000 more for it than the best offer I got privately.

it is a just like the guys who have s197 - seem to think they are bullet proof from a depreciation point of view

no car is bullet proof - supercharged s197s under 10k will be a reality this summer or autumn..... lots of denial out there!!! ( obviously TT and lucifer / wayne / lucy's cars are exempt from this as unique one of kind temples to the s197 )
