Ordered a GT convertible on March 31, got a VIN quickly, and car is now built and "awaiting shipment". Hurray! But my delivery date slipped (again), now at May 21. :( Does it really take three weeks to get a car from Michigan to San Francisco? I could fly out there and drive it home faster than that.

I also have a private cash offer that expires May 31, so getting it here before then is worth $750 to me.

Call into ford service, they can pull up a detailed history on your car. Until it's in transit though, I wouldn't hold my breath on the car actually being on the move. I've been awaiting shipment the past month with no word as to what's going on.

Yeah, Ford Service actually said my car was still "In Production" despite COTUS showing as "Awaiting Delivery"...so...basically :shrug:

Yeah, I've definitely got a 1st world problem. My new fancy car is a week late. Boo-hoo.

It finished building on Monday, but it has not been put out to await shipment yet, peetucket. Once it does your ETA may or may not update again. It is always subject to change.

Check with your dealer, the cash back offers often can be protected from what I hear.

Plus, I ordered over a month before you, and my EDD is after you (see my signature), so buck up little camper!

I was stuck like that for over a month
Car was showing as awaiting shipment on COTUS, but ford service said it was produced, but still in the production stage...apparently a problem with the window sticker caused mine to sit for so long...weird...

Yeah, realize I am doing better than many.

My dealer just told me they should be able to lock in the private cash and to check back later if it looks like it will be an issue with missing the 5/31 deadline. They've been nice to deal with so far...hopefully it'll carry through to the final deal.
