Well...to give a bit of a back story. Back in the day I owned a 2011 GT. I came out of a G37, which was slower in a straight line, but much tighter when it came to brakes and handling. I eventually ended up doing a lot of light mods to the Mustang, and I got it to where I loved it. The car had a full Ford Racing suspension, RTR wheel and body kit, GT500 mufflers and a Ford Racing tune. It ran 12.50s all day long, and it was a fun every day car. For whatever reason, I traded it for a Grand Cherokee Diesel, and regretted it ever since. Since then, I have owned a 2012 Boss 302, 2010 C6 Z51, 2012 C6 Grand Sport, 97 Viper GTS, 62 Chevy II, 68 SS396 Chevelle, along with a bunch of trucks. I still have my Ram 2500 and I'll always have a truck as a daily, but I picked up a left over 2018 GT last January. Car had a $45k MSRP and I was able to get it for about $13k off. It has the Performance Pack, 301A, and active exhaust. I love the way the car looks, and looks of the 18 were the only thing that got me behind the wheel over a 1LE, which I loved when I drove it. The more I owned the car, just like with all the other ones, the more I tried to recreate the feeling the 2011 gave me. The longer gearing of the 18 MT82D4 definitely didn't help, but the car just felt heavy and cumbersome. My goal was to not modify the car heavily, like I did with my GS, which I felt ruined the car at the end of the day, but I wanted to make it a more fun weekend car. I never felt the power was lacking, so I have done 0 performance mods. I put an X pipe on to wake up the active exhaust a bit, but that's about it. So far, I have the RTR shocks and springs, SVE r357 wheels, black badges, black exhaust tips, and I color matched the calipers. Since I started auto crossing recently, the only other thing I will do is a rear sway bar, and probably call it a day suspension wise. The only other future mods I have planned are 2 piece rotors front and rear and an aluminum driveshaft. The car, the way it sits now, I feel is finally on par with my 2011. It's definitely the best car I've owned aside from the Grand Sport, but I like it for different reasons. Either way, the car is not a daily, but it has seen snow and rain, as well as the track, and my goal for this year is to go to all 8 local autocross events. Here are a few pics of some of the cars I've had the pleasure of owning in the last few years.
