Degaussing plastic trunk panel

Probably been asked before but here goes. Has anyone used a degausser to demagnatize the plastic. I know people that build plastic models and they use it to keep lint and dust off when they paint them. Wondering if it would work for that piece of plastic. Mite keep scratches away.

No. There is a tool that will do that. They cost anywhere from $20 to $200.

It’s not a degausser since you cannot demagnetize plastic. It’s a anti static gun like the one pictured below. I had one years ago. Audiophiles use them to remove static from record albums.

Or if you really want to keep that panel clean......
