I agree, I'd like a dark purple, not so dark that it can be confused with black something like BMW's Techno Violet.
I once owned a purple car. It was a 1992 VW Golf VR6, and the technical name for the color was Dusty Mauve Metallic according to the VW dealer. It was a really dark color, and in dim light(which was most of my tour in Germany) it looked almost like black. I actually liked the color.

It was exactly the same as this picture, except mine had 5 spokes.

Also taken at Mustang Alley this past Saturday as the photos above...
Thanks for the pics again Tony. You are a fountain of them it seems.

One question. Is anyone else not fond of the way you can see through the body behind the rear wheels? Like in the following pics, which are from Tony's post.

Does anyone know if this is just a base V6 thing? Just seems like there should be a fender liner in there.

I've commented about this too. It Bugs the Shit Out of Me. I've seen it on Eco-Boost GT and V-6 Pics. It Makes The Whole Rear End look like it's Hung On the Car. There Needs to be some kind of Flap or Liner there to Block it from being able to See All the Way Through. I know I'll be adding Something under there to Block it On Mine.

This seems to be specific for the V6 trim, as the tires are entry level and don't fill out the entire wheel well. Like the hideous dashboard on the non-Premium models, it's meant to entice you to spend more $moolah$.

As noted elsewhere, the base V6s are really only intended for rental fleets. If you're truly passionate about the Mustang (and have the money, of course), you'll join the Premium club.

Agreed. I had noticed this on some other photos and trim levels as well, but here it looks particularly bad.

To me it reminds me of a pickup truck, due to the way you can often see through their suspension. It's very close to the exhaust, so anything that goes into there would need to be heat resistant. I don't recall seeing another car in recent history where you could see the exhaust like that either. That is a notoriously dirty part of the car that is going to look like crap down the road if it is not covered up.

I'm hoping maybe this is a pre-production thing that will be squared away on production models.

Id love if someone photoshopped the black PP wheels to an aluminum/metal color tone.
