When I ordered my 2019, I wanted DIB, but they did not offer it anymore. I felt like Kona Blue looked a bit like purple.
I had three choices: Velocity Blue, Kona Blue & Ford Performance Blue.
I really wanted blue with white stripes due to my love for the AC Shelby Cobra kit cars.
Ford Performance Blue was the one I chose, but always wished I could of ordered the DIB... I finally was able to park next to a DIB with white stripes.
I'm glad I was able to see the two together. I still love the DIB, but I had built it up to such greatness in my memory, that I was still wishing I had DIB.
Now that I see them both together, I am glad I picked the one I did from the 3 I had to chose from. DIB is still one of my favorite blues.

You are correct Jeff... I called the owner and he did not know the color but told me it was a 2017. So you are right, it is Lightning Blue.

I have owned both colors. The DIB is almost black in low lighting situations where the lightning has a whole array of color spectrum depending upon the lighting.
The DIB also has that purple hue to it.. beautiful color, but much like Kona blue it is a bear to keep clean and you see every finger print and smudge.
Loved, loved, the color when it was clean, but an hour later you could see every spec of pollen, dust, etc.. on the car.
Lightning is definitely more forgiving in that aspect. I just purchase a 2019 350 with the Performance Blue/black stripes and I really like the color a lot. It's just got a subdued, but nasty look to it. The black accents stand out as well. I saw velocity blue at a local dealership on a regular GT and a Raptor - was not impressed. It's just.... "blue"... not a lot of character in my opinion but to each his own.

I just got some LMR SVE R355 wheels. These are much nicer than the Performance pack rims. 285/35/19 Square setup now. These are Lighter also at 53.8 VS 59.8/61.8 for the PP rim/tire. That is per rim and tire.
