Not looking for a witch hunt but might be useful if we had a dedicated thread for peeps with experience on which dealers to avoid and which offer good customer service, both for sales and servicing?

Tbh I'm not expecting anything from mine. He has my money. He can give me the keys when It arrives and apart from warranty work he won't see me again.

I have a way of gaining information from someone other than my dealer so will just use that.

when I have spoken to him he has been pleasant enough although it does take 48 hours to reply to an email.

I can't get upset as I knew what I was walking into as I ordered late.

Mine doesn't respond to emails. Will only call back if I ever deem something as urgent. Whenever I call he's always busy or in a meeting. When I'd ordered he didn't know much about the mustang regardless of being their specialist (however wouldn't expect him to know as much as a fanatic would).

As Jimboy said. I use my dealer when I need my dealer. Karen and Stacey, gents(and any closet ladies) on this forum and other sources are far better for information, as the saying goes, if you want something done right do it yourself lol.

If you're looking for a good dealer however look no further than our very own j-rowe14 :)

Cannot fault my dealer in Inverness, we are able to get the deal done long distance. Everything posted on time and responds to emails.

Might be a bit out of the way for you however...!

Mine lost my contacts details and kept missing my emails because he had 60 emails to read after his 2 days off a week. He always seemed to be too busy and I was always chasing him, almost like he didn't want to sell me a car.

I've been dealing with Matt at Busseys Ford in Norwich. Fairly helpful actually and seems to be a genuine bloke. He bought a Mustang himself!

Spent time with Chris at Bedford, he owns a Mustang and was very knowledgable, not to mention was very customer service orientated.

He said he could also do x,y & z la la la...fit a catback for delivery for ÂŁ100 labour, hold my order back if i wanted to take advantage of the new tax rules 2017 (ÂŁ140 VEL p.a).

I ordered from Pat Kirk's in Omagh, Kenny my dealer is a nice guy although he doesn't always respond to emails and doesn't send me updates on my order. The MD Pat Kirk himself is an absolute legend though, he took me out in his own GT and rallied it around the roads I've never had a bigger smile on my face .

Thanks mate!!!

I try to update customers as much as possible with orders. Its important to treat customers like you would treat yourself.

Updating as much as possible and constant contact throughout the order process.

Stuart and Birchwood Ford Hastings.
Brilliant.
Its based on his advise, enthusiasm and competence that I was one of the first to take delivery of my car in the UK.

When it comes to the Mustang, I'm pretty sure the price is the same everywhere (i.e. full) and its not as if you need any help choosing the right model/options etc. So I'd suggest just ordering from the garage that's most convenient, location wise. I can't see that there's much to go wrong (usually) with the sales process, but if you don't like the service for whatever reason, you can then take any to any dealer for the warranty work.
