Nail and head. It's tantamount to working in a mobile phone shop. Either the sales guys are young, enthusiastic - but useless, or old, experienced but jaded. It's a tough battle
Like most places really ;)!

No complaints with my dealer. Phoned a booked a test drive beforehand, and then on the day they were friendly and professional throughout. 'Er-indoors had accompanied her folks when they were buying a Golf from Volkswagen in Aberdeen, and she remarked on how much better they were to deal with. No stupid comments, no sexist "banter" and no swarminess.

Another thumbs up for Peoples Ford in Edinburgh.

Although my car is yet to be built so clearly I don't have the aftermarket insight, I would highly recommend Warwick Ford. I spoke to Lucas who seems to be the Mustang Expert and he was prompt in ringing back, had the car ready and waiting for my test drive, didn't hassle me in to making a sale. Placed an order with the hour and sales bill scanned and emailed the next working day. I know he must have dozens of sales going through monthly but he will always reply to an email and seems to know his stuff. If you are Midlands based then use Lucas, the experience is a cut above most other dealerships when I initially started looking.
NB - I don't have aftermarket experience ..just the sales process so far

Pretty similar experience with Gowrings of Reading.
I phoned in to book a test drive and was told to pop on up at a particular time (30 odd minute drive from me which they knew). Got there to be told no one had me booked in so I would have to come back. Managed to wrangle a once round the block and put down a deposit on the basis it was fully refundable and I'd be going back for a proper test later.

Off the back of all the problems on here and asking what Gowrings stance would be (e.g. underseal) and no response at all. Even gave them the TSB numbers and whatnot.

Even my refund took over 2 weeks and a call to my CC company to get a block put on.

By comparison the Chevy dealer has answered every question and has cars landing in the next month or so. The only downside being it would be left hand drive. But all the "mods" i was looking at for the mustang are already taken care of and covered by warranty.
