got a call from my local dealer, they offered me same or lower paymaent on trade for my Bullitt to get into a Dark Horse.
i laughed my ass off, and said "really i have no payment I'll be right in' then the back peddling began....lol
"oh wait we can't do that" he said. my reply was at that point was "then why would i trade a low milage Bullitt that dyno'd at 511HP for a car that has less power"
no response just a click and conversation was over. obviously they dont do their home work on whats being thrown around out there. or what these cars really are putting down. besides there is no more lifetime ownership warranties available, and that thing looks like an electronics nightmare in the near future.

I believe 15% is a bit generous but six/one-half. Do yourself a favor and put the M1 front dampers in your car and it will help tremendously in handling and composure. The Bullitt's suspension was IMO it's biggest weak spot.

Any negative like a harsher ride?

435RWHP ON DYNOJET, add standard 15% drivetrain loss and you get 511.76hp
and there is no way im trading
Iā€™m not sure thatā€™s how we get to claim dyno numbers. You dyno what you dyno. In this case 435hp. Adding in drivetrain loss would be crank HP.

i have never seen one on the road or at shows, so i havent had a chance to talk to any one who owns one. seen lots of new GT's dont like the front end, hood or the rear of the car sorry. Road and Track said it best about the Bullitt "COULD be the best built mustang ever"

that is the standard drive drivetrain loss calculation that almost all use
either way the Dark Horse came up short

While that is standard drivetrain loss, people donā€™t dyno, add 15% and then say ā€œmy car dyoned XXXā€. Thatā€™d be silly.
