I had a good look at the bonnet vents on the mustang last night - I cant see any reason why they wouldn't be legal.
They are pretty much flat inline with the bonnet and there is plenty of space under them.

Anyone know why people would say they wont be on the EU or AU models?
Just made a thread earlier on the cosmetics section. Trying to see if anyone knew where to get an OEM US hood.

Aussie Mate: I think they are just trying to streamline/standardise production and make ALL Euro/Aus/Asian market models the same. Cutting costs.

Funny since my evo x has THREE vents... and one large one that can fit fingers through (possibly my hand) lol

Today I had a chance to view the mustang at city ford rockdale in Sydney. It was the yellow premium gt.

Few impressions:
- it looked huge! Definitely bigger than what I have imagined. Alot wider too.
- interior is nice with soft touch material.
- the leather seats are of a soft nature which is good for comfort.
- steering wheel is smaller than expected compared to the falcon.
- gear shifter felt smaller as well.
- hand brake although doable from the right seat but definitely not what i call a comfortable position.
- looks great in the flesh with its aggressive lines.
- saw the tri bar led and sequential tail lights. Unfortunately none we will get as they looked the business.
- dealer started up the car and while I agree it is quiet but I like it. It has a low rumble and a sporty note when revved.

Cheers for the mini review.

Wish my dealer was doing a day time viewing... I work nights

Also forgot to post this pamphlet which was at the dealer for roush upgrades.
I'm assuming they will be offering this through some dealers in the future?

I forgot to mention this when I saw it - you're right, the steering wheel is quite small. It's not as small as a Toyota 86 one, but it does feel well sized for this car.

That's my one 'must have' for a car - the steering wheel has to be spot on, because that's the #1 interface with the machine, and it feels a lot better than a Falcon wheel.

It will feel weird with all the buttons tho, the 86 has none and that makes it perfect - it has one job haha

I pleasantly surprised with my viewing. Yellow in my opinion is the worst colour but actually looked great! Quality of interior materials was good with the exception of the power window surrounds (some of the worst plastic I've felt) however the transmission tunnel plastic was fine. Didn't much fancy thr "leather". I've always thought Ford's leather was shit and this backed it up. Very glossy and slick like vinyl. Comfy though.

I couldn't notice what people are complaining about with regard to the poor fitting of the rear window or whatever. What was bad was the boot panel that you hold to open and close it. Awful cheap rattly plastic. Cheap.

The exhaust note was limp. Worst than disappointing, it was pathetic. I know most will cop aftermarket ones anyway, but it's a poor showing and absolutely necessitates an aftermarket spend.

All up though for $60k it's brilliant.
