I have some OEM grade dashcam installed for a few months. Havent got time to share them yet.

Low light/Night vision is great and cam sets up a WIFI hotspot and has an APP to view/config/control cam + download/manage media

Price is less than AUD200.

Do you have any more details about the camera? Cheers

Sorry Allan

Had a little SNAFU this morning - took the GT in, old mate comes out and has a look inside - advises that it's going to be about 4 hours work with a $500 pricetag.

Not about to pay that much - will organise it to be done next time I'm down in Sydney, gotta be cheaper right?

Sufficed to say we didn't chat about fuses, I was in a bit of shock.

Cheers

J

Wow, thats a lot ay! I am going to do my own install. Have done several integrated installs but this will be the first where wire taps can be critical. See how we go. These are the connectors I got.

Hi guys,

Any recommendations of someone to fit a dash cam set up in Brisbane? Happy to travel a bit too. Want a quality job done as you would expect on a new toy.

Cheers Keith...

Close call..

I think I'm going to install the dashcam myself after a close call on the weekend - as I had shoulder surgery yesterday and am in a sling for 8 weeks, I decided to take the GT to Port Macquarie for the Beatlemania Car show.
On the way back I detoured off the new highway to stop in Urunga to pick up some groceries for the boss - In the 80klm zone I saw a bike closing in fairly quickly, he saw me and gunned it overtaking me on the blind crest, I reckon he was doing about 180klm when he went past me.
As he hit the crest his front wheel went way up - lucky to keep it under control, any vehicle coming the other way would have been disastrous all round.
I'm an ex bike rider, so i understand a bit of white line fever sometimes but this guy was off the chain and needed to be reported.
I'm not technical enough to wire it in - will have to find someone to do that but I should be able to do the rest without too much trouble.

You guys have convinced me to give the Thinkware a go so decided to go ahead and order it while ebay are having 10% off. F770 front and rear hardware kit for $380 delivered from the UK is hard to beat.

I have 2 Lukas LK-7900 FHD ARA 1080p with GPS cams. One for my F350 and one for my GT vert. They are Korean made with very good optics. The first cam I bought 4 years ago was $240. The second was $189. Amazon has them now for $169. I have had no problems with these cams. (Pics in my Garage)
