yeah i decided to go the thinkware, the size difference isn't actually that much.
The Thinkware is actually about 75% larger. Still one of the smaller ones though.

My greatest fear, in this day and age of serial texters/Bookfacers, is getting rear ended by someone who later denies liability - hence my decision to go with the 2-channel system despite the reduction in image quality. Parking mode was also important to me.
Getting hit from behind doesn't worry me too much, 99% of the time its always the fault of the person who runs into the back of someone else. More worried about the idiots in front of me. Some of the things you see people doing on the road are mind-blowing.

Having said that, I still haven't put a dash cam in :( I'm actually waiting for NRMA to replace my windshield under insurance, been 1 week and nothing yet!!

While true (and why I initially got a dashcam) what happens when someone runs into the back of you then claims you reversed into them? They have someone in the car who backs them up and you're alone and there's no other witness about. Would be far simpler to have a rear cam. I have had someone reverse into me at a set of lights BTW.

i had exactly that coming up to a roundabout, they claimed i pulled out into the roundabout and then backed back in due to traffic, i ended up getting the full Spanish inquisition, we each ended up having to make a no claim as i filed charges against them and we settled on no claim either side. at the time i didn't need the hassle as was doing my finals and my car at the time wasn't worth the hassle.

but it does happen. and it sucks. people suck. i went with the thinkware mainly due to the HD rear cam being able to pickup someone looking down at their phone or whatnot.

Anyone with a thinkware F750 experiencing issues with restarting after turning the car off for a short period of time? I like the camera, but I stopped to get a drink from a servo before heading home today, and it didn't turn back on after starting the car. Which was a bummer, I really wanted to pull the footage, had a good run with an evo

Has happened at a few meets too, turn the car on for a short time so people can hear the exhaust, then I get back in later and the camera doesn't automatically turn on
I had that when my wiring was the wrong way round. parking mode didn't work either, all fine when I swapped cables around. I have a feeling they were incorrectly labelled.
So has there been a fix for this one I'm also having the same issue. Do I need to swap the 2 and 23 fuse taps and redo the fuses? Melbnut

Correct. My cables were labelled wrong. Swapped, and has never missed a beat.

Yeah I just swapped them round and now it's working perfectly.

Okay so I changed it over to be clear for people installing for the first time

Yellow cord to fuse 2 with 7.5amp fuses

red cord to fuse 23 with 10amp fuses

Thanks for your help Since-64 and msweet
