I have a 17 GTPP and i am not a fan of the carbon fiber look. I would like something similar to what's in the GT350 but not for the price of 1200. In the magical event of me finding one for a steal, are they swappable ? and if not how would i go about painting my current one?

Just pry it off and paint, hydrodip, wrap it. They're only held in by clips.

You could also upholster it with something like alcantara or leather if that was more your style.

Invest in some panel removal tools from harbor freight...they're cheap and do help in getting them off. @Nagare is right, its a bunch of clips, start on the right side and carefully work your way around. There are 4 clips around the middle ac vent alone (or pp where the gauges are), one lower left in the area bottom left ac vents, 5 clips in the long narrow section and one fat plastic tab bottom far right.
