I have it plugged using a 12V cigarette input cable.

They do recommend hardwiring it to an accessory fuse (not the battery). To fully charge, it takes about 1 hr so it should be okay on the battery.

Bought mine for accidents. Mainly hit and runs.

I recommend getting the BlackVue DR650GW-2CH (front and back) + Cellink Battery B.

Very small, great quality, and the battery keeps it recording for 2-3 days while the car is off.
I have it plugged using a 12V cigarette input cable.

That battery is brilliant. Had not idea they existed. Might need to include one in my setup.

The kids just gave me one for Father's day. It a Car & Driver model. Hey, they know nothing about dash cams and thats just fine. I'll hook it up and enjoy. I know they care about me and the car. It's all good.
