Thx. Did your dealer fit them... And was the dash switch/LED neat?
The front parking sensors were dealer fitted and switch/LED is neat in as far that the wire is routed through a gap in the dashboard trip and the switch is stuck down.

Tap into fuse 36 in passenger kick panel, which is an accessory fuse... done.
Yes Fuse 36 Auxiliary body module for ignition switched +12v (ACC) but in UK the steering wheel is RHD so the cabin fusebox is behind the driver kick panel and the accelerator [gas] pedal makes access difficult.

Or get to one of your 12V plugs by removing panels and then tap those wires (I prefer to solder vs. use tap clips). Be sure you run your power through a 12v to 5v (or whatever your camera needs) stepdown converter or use a hidden hardwired cig plug receiver to plug in the plug that came with the camera (which can be acquired at walmart as an extension, just cut off the male end).
I might tap into +12v (Battery) using one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/T-Tap-Insul...&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00 or http://www.amazon.co.uk/T-Tap-Insul...&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00 but I need to find a wire to connect on to. Any suggestions?

I've said it several times on the other thread, but the safest way is to take power direct from the battery, making sure you have an inline fuse for the feed.

Using fuse taps, splicing cables - or worse still, Scotchlock type connections are just asking for trouble.

I don't disagree and I'm searching for the best solution. I have reported what fuse taps were used by a Ford dealer.

Do you have a solution for going through the firewall to get a wire from the battery into the passenger cabin?

I spoke to my dealers main tech guy the other day, he said it has to goto engine bay fuse box. The immobiliser shuts down all internal circuits on our cars (American cars don't have that issue).
I have the schematics from him
Getting my F750 done by my dealer after the IVA conversion
But what do you mean by "The immobiliser shuts down all internal circuits on our cars (American cars don't have that issue"
thanks
Are you saying it's easier to fit to a LHD car?

Got mine working yesterday too.

Cheers Big G, although as you say, it shouldn't have taken all of us this long!

I'll post a picture next time I open fuse box up, probably to fit more robust fuse taps etc. (i.e. a neater job). As someone previously mentioned, the guy who designed the hateful position of the fuse box should be shot.

Dash cam appears to be working as it should now. Only time will tell if it drains the battery or there's some other unforeseen problem.

Mines set to power off after 6 hours or if the battery voltage gets down to 12v. To be honest I wasn't sure what to have it set at, that was default

Have forwarded this to my dealer, as might speed up the fitting and you know it now does not switch off, did you say the fusebox in the RHD is a much more of a pain to get to than the one in the LHD?
Will set mine to , just switch off when the battery gets to low, other than what is the point of having that feature?
Our batteries are so powerful, it should not drain them should it?
