I don't even have "winters". And I work from home. But for short errands, taking my dogs places, occasionally crappy weather, I take my Jetta.

Anything else, I take the GT. I'd be bored driving the GT as my only car. Not to mention 13 mpg would get depressing to me as well.
Im jealous of that 13mpg. Mine gets 12 to 12.5 tops. Sadly my jeep is only marginally better.

Variety is the spice of life. Drive the same thing all the time and most folks would get Jaded. I know I do. Parking toys and swapping for something else from time to time keeps the experience fresh. When winter comes around I put the Blizzaks on my 15 WRX and have a blast. Nice days after the salt has had a chance to either get washed away or blown away from traffic and I'll take the cars that normally don't get out in winter for a spin.

I daily drove my S2000 in Los Angeles for years. I hated it. What a waste putting stop and go miles from the valley to downtown LA when not taking advantage of the unique characteristics of that vehicle. I loved driving the car but saw no benefit to that type of wear and tear on it. Now I live in CO and see no reason to drive my GT350 in rain or snow. Those aren't the conditions either car was built for. I have an SUV for that. So both cars sit in the garage and get driven as they were intended, when the weather permits. I can't even imagine enjoying driving either of them in bad weather.

The Fiesta ST is my beater and it's fun to drive, too and gets a decent mpg. I treat my GT350 like a queen and occasionally take it to track. It will never see salt.

I couldn't agree more with you. I put my Hellcat away during the winter months here in Jersey. Come spring time, when I take the cover off, stare at it for a while and start it up, I feel like I did the very first day I saw it after having it delivered. Non stop smiling from ear to ear.

If I finally end up getting a 350R it will never be driven in the winter either. I want to have the rush of driving it "for the first time" again every spring.

I drive mine every chance I get - but not a DD. I have the cup2s on it so - no rain, only above freezing temps, and I try to wait for a good rinse off after salt on the roads.

If I didn't need 4 doors I'd buy a non R as a second car, throw all seasons on it in the winter and drive it everyday... saving the R for track days.

LOL at the people who buy a GT350 and then are worried about fuel economy. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but the cost of gas is incredibly low compared to the cost of buying any new car - much less a GT350.

It was below zero this morning so I drove my winter beater, but the GT350 gets better fuel economy so I try to drive it whenever I can. ;)
