I just ordered my oil and filter for this upcoming oil change... last time I made the mistake of going to the Italian Ford dealership and it was over 200 euro. I have an F250 that takes 15 quarts of oil and it's STILL not that expensive.

Also decided to upgrade to Sync 3 Version 2.2 today, even though I don't have the new USB hub to run Apple's Car Play, might toss the old Note 4 in there and see how that works.

Wow, if a Ford dealer doesn't do the service ford can void your warranty? And ford charges for the warranty? In the US they can't do that. I can go somewhere else or change it myself and ford still has to honor my warranty.
Yeah, here everyone's trying to steal your money - from car companies to dealers to insurance to (obviously) politicians.

You have Sync 3 on a 2016? I thought it was still Sync 2...

You do not have to have your car serviced at Ford to maintain the warranty.

Any tax registered company can do it, as long as they provide receipts for the work and use the OEM parts.

Its called Block Exemption Regulation:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Block_Exemption_Regulation

However, dont expect any extra service from Ford or the dealer if you choose to service outside of the network - but I think for most of us receiving service from Ford is not something we have to worry about anyway ;)

When something good came from European Union, Italy won't take part at it. Of course we are officially in, but everyone is passing over it and continue to grant you warranty only if serviced at official dealer.
Moreover, when you need warranty they'll do everything to avoidto warrant you..

I am holding off of the real mods while the factory warranty is still an issue. After the 2nd year, I no longer really care. May still bring it in for the annual stamp, but they will have to deal with any mods (that they didn't install)

Had an 'oh s**t' moment today on the way to work.

5.45am and cruising down the motorway at about 120kph when a slab of ice about the size of a house brick flew off a truck about 200m ahead.

It must have reached about 30m in the air, performing a perfect parabolic arch, before starting to come left and aim for you know who...... Im not touching the brakes (other cars behind, and alongside) so could do nothing but watch it smash in to the front end of the car with a sickening thud....

:brokenheart:

I pulled in to a services about 5km further up the road and tentatively walked round to the front of the car, quite honestly expecting carnage. However, its amazingly only hit the upper grill, and not only that it has smashed off my lovely Black Pony Emblem, which is now wedged in the lower grill and falls to the ground whilst I am looking at it. No further damage!

I honestly couldn't believe it.

sh*tty luck, but good luck at the same time.
