On second glance, the gills of the new model look like they project their light more forward. Could they be EU legal?

Might be... but I still think it looks awkward...

Up here I have 5 year warranty (or 150k km I think) so I guess I'll have to take care of it... and maybe you don't need to go to the Ford servicer but it's safer I guess... (actually we don't have any Ford stores here, they are all independently authorized service places, though I guess that's the same for the rest of the World...)

Mmm... don't like the front at the moment.
Just the turning lights seems better. And they probably are integrated with fog lights since there is no space at the bottom - so no ugly drl-in-fog-lights anymore :D

Exactly what I was thinking. The front is not that bad I find it more agressive with the lights, the hood scoops don't seem that bad either. We have to see it in a more detailed version with better pictures and videos. And of course live, I am betting it does not look that bad. Maybe they finally got the DRLs in the tri bars who knows :hail::lol:

Actually, if I look at the video of the '18 and the video of the '15, the tri-bars seems to have the same brightness ... But we all know that the cameras sometimes say wrong things while filming LED's :D

All in all, I'm not a fan of this '18 model, so glad to have my '15 now :hail:

Yeah me too John.
About the tribars, maybe they fix the 'visibility from side' issue that seems to be the reason to have them disabled in EU.
(I just said that but actually don't believe to my own words... they have probably forget export market again)

Looking at this picture, don't think so. The tri-bars have the same 'visibility from side' as the '15 model...

Yeah.
From the video seems that the turning\parking lights have a led array!

That should be the fog light, otherwise where do they could pplace them?? There are no free space at the bottom now.
And actually the small squared parking light (well. US have a bigger housing for parking light) could be easily replaced by a switchback light inside the turning light housing - exactly as we did :D

Actually, correct me if I'm wrong, but the front fog lights are not mandatory in any country in the EU.
Only rear fog lights are mandatory.

With the LED headlights, they provide so much power and visibilty that you don't need front fogs
