Finally had a chance to drive on the autobahn.

vMax = 270kph. 167mph.

Published topspeed is 164mph, so that seems about right :)

The door seals got very loud at 220+, but it felt planted and stable all the way up. If it wasnt for the 30L/100km I would drive that fast all the time in Germany :)

From the feeling I had, I think it would take a long time to go from 270 to 285.... and the roads in NRW are too crowded. I was at 270 for about 20s before someone pulled out infront of me....

Now I have to aim for 285 next time!

I live around Cologne and yes, the roads here are difficult to go fast on. Best is at night ;) but sometimes one is lucky and the A4 from Aachen to Cologne is free...

The A2 between Hannover and Berlin is very good (when no traffic) due to being pretty much straight. I remember once not long ago, was doing 220-250 for over 30 mins there. Felt very strange with almost no cars and being able to pass the police at that kind of speed, legally! :D

Braunschweig, where I live in, is directly on the A2 between Hannover and Berlin. It's really a great piece of Autobahn, if you are lucky and don't have much traffic.
Next time you're driving around here, give me a call

Seems like I have to Change the tires.

I was driving to work this morning. Light rain, 17°C, taking a Long turn on the Autobahn. I was driving in fifth gear about 60km/h (1.300 RPM). I slowly started accelerating when the rear went loose. I instantly stopped giving throttle and started countersteering, so I could stopped the oversteering really fast.

But how the hell could the car oversteer in this Situation? Ok the tires were definitely not warm, but there's no way slightly accelerating in 5th gear with 60km/h should result in that.

Winter tires will be on the car soon, so for next summer I will definitely not driving These Pirellis anymore :frusty:

My Pirellis lost grip last week in dry weather going around a long radius turn at about 100kph.

It scared the shit out of me!! Winter tyres going on soon and then something different next year. The Pirellis are junk!

Or get extra wide ones :D

I've got the Pirelli's in 305 in the rear  never broke out whatsoever, but I have to say that I'll only hoonigan them when the weather's awesome and they are already warm. And if I don't drive like a hoonigan, I drive like a granny in Adam's Tune+ economy mode trying to get the best L/100KM possible.

If I wear out all my stock tires (which are in the front at the moment) I'll probably try the Michelin Pilot Super Sports! Just in the name of science, cause I do actually like the Pirellis a lot for how I use the car. That or I crash because I'm still on the Pirellis

edit: ps I'll post pics of the new rims and tires soon!

I was on a raceway and a driving security Training with the pirellis. I drove in way worse weather conditions with the tires and never had a single Problem.
But after that experience this morning, i really lost all trust in the P Zeros. What a joke of a Sport tire.

Maybe I will take the Michelin Pilot Super Sport next year, or the Hankook Ventus S1 Evo.
EC0BEAST: That's the Point: The car oversteered while driving like a granny. I really can't explain how this could happen.
