I'm running catted headers right now and was wondering where the optimal position for cutouts are. I've seen them in multiple places and wondering where is optimal.

My thought is to use turndowns to prevent hot exhaust hitting things that don't like to be hot. It's a question of how close to the engine it needs to be to be optimal.

It's pretty tight fitment with the factory exhaust. Consider cutouts with low-profile motors / actuators. I put mine behind the rear axle then deleted the resonator. The route I took isn't much for performance gain but the sound is on point. Good luck
