After maxing out my Paxton set up last year and breaking into the 4s 60-130 with the baby blower that could, I decided to start fresh with the car and build the motor and throw a set of twins on there. I’ve had the idea of this turbo kit since I got my car but now that I have a bit more fabrication skills I and knowledge I decided to tackle it and make it a reality. The turbo kit is a front mount turbo kit with the turbos visible from the grille. This turbo kit was inspired after my dads turbo 04 cobra he had back in the day.

turbo kit consists of 1 3/4 shorty headers with 2 3/4 collectors, 2.5 in hot side piping
Twin VS racing billet 70/70 .81 ar housing
Tial 44mm waste gates
Tial 50mm bov
Ported boss 302 manifold
Cortex EBC boost controller
1000hp on3 intercooler (temporary)
3in oval tubing down pipes (for clearance)
3.5in maf housing and otr intake

So first order of business was removing the long tubes and replacing them with some modified jba 1 3/4in shorty headers.
2nd step was figuring out where I wanted to mount the turbos

Once I figured out where I wanted the turbos I made some tabs to hold up the turbos temporarily until I could fab up the hot side piping. Once the turbos where mounted I welded a T4 flange to a 90 degree elbow with a section of pipe going back towards the header. Then came the tedious task of routing the tucking the tubing out of the way of everything.

As far as the intercooler goes I picked up a c6 corvette on3 intercooler to run temporarily lol until I fab the new 5.5inch intercooler using a csf raving 2000hp core I also decided to do a OTR intake tube

After the last pictures I got busy with school and work so I didn’t touch the car for months but got back to work on it this past summer.
Next I got to work on the cold side
With turbos being so close to the intercooler it made the pipe routing extremely simple all I had to do was make an offset pipe with two 90 degree elbows on each side. Next I made a new intake/maf pipe to accommodate the ported boss 302

Awesome. Any pics of the hot side piping? Whats the plan for oiling? Scavenge pumps?
I am using a scavange pump to pull the oil out of two small scavange tanks I made for the turbos. Back to the oil fill cap. Since they sit low they can’t gravity drain back to the pan I’ll make a post on the oiling since that is one of the hiccups I ran into with the car but I believe to have it fixed now

Going to be able to make some serious power, but the lag is going to suck some elephant balls. Just be aware.

The turbos spool similarly to 64/66s also the car has anti lag via Lund racing multi tune and a 2step so lag isn’t a concern

Did you end up losing the engine oil cooler and Tran cooler to mount the turbos there.

Anti lag doesn’t fix on the street lack of throttle response. Great for the drag strip though!

No sir only thing I lost was the windshield wiper fluid reservoir on the passenger side, how ever my car is a base gt so the only thing in the way of the turbos were the horns (Wich I relocated) and the windshield fluid reservoir
